:: The Women of Lebanon appeal to his Excellency, the Secretary General of the United Nation, Mr. Kofi Anan ::

With urgency and distress, we address our plea to the person heading the organization that is supposed to ensure the prevalence of human rights worldwide.
We ask you to light a candle within the darkness shrouding the ruins, enlightening the world about the blatant violation of the basic human rights of the Lebanese population by the Israeli aggression on our country.
We trust you to read this plea and distribute it to the representatives of nations within the Security Council, in hope that this plea, among thousands of others, urges them to work on putting an immediate end to the plight of our small democratic country where all religions live in peace.
The women of Lebanon thank their friends around the world and all of those that are working on insuring the peace and helping the population of Lebanon throughout this humanitarian crisis that is affecting mostly women, children, and the elderly.
